Tea Making Workshop

January 24, 6:30-8:00 pm
at Awbury Arboretum

Join us for a tea-making workshop at the Cope House! We'll explore the best preparation methods for infusing or decocting local healing herbs from our landscape whether fruit, flower, leaf, seed, bark, or root.

Some sample preparations will include burdock, marshmallow, hawthorn, linden, nettle, elder. We'll discuss methods for drying and preserving herbs and mushrooms, sip and savor preparations together, and make simple formulations to support seasonal wellness.

Participants will leave with their own custom tea blend from a sampling of the herbs discussed.
