The Revolutionary Germantown Festival!

October 7, 2017, 10am-4pm
at Cliveden

Join us at 6401 Germantown Avenue on the grounds of Cliveden and Upsala for the Revolutionary Germantown Festival!  
On Saturday October 7, 2017 we celebrate the 240th anniversary of the Battle of Germantown!
The battle is reenacted at 12pm and 3pm.

Join the sites of Historic Germantown for interactive activities as well as great food, a beer garden, and tours to celebrate our fascinating local heritage.

Childrens Activities on the Grounds of Upsala: (tentative for 2017)
ACES Museum: Jump da’ Broom, learn about this African American marriage ritual and then join in.

Awbury Arboretum: Learn about historic plants and their uses; pokeberry Ink, spicebush tea, & nosegays. Check out information from Awbury Arboretum Landscaping Services

Historic Fair Hill: Colonial hospital tent, the garden at Fair Hill was used to grow medicinal plants during the Revolutionary War.

Grumblethorpe: The Grumblethorpe Youth Volunteers will be hand cranking and selling homemade ice cream. They will also have their stilts

Stenton: Bring your cameras! Stenton will have outfits at their tent for kids to try on and see what children and adults wore in colonial times.

Wyck: Come out and play with a variety of colonial games

Concord School House: Open 11am-5pm, Special 2pm Burial Ground Ceremony  2:30pm guided tour, *Donations welcome
The Germantown White House (Deshler-Morris House): Open 10am-4pm *Donations welcome
Germantown Mennonite Meetinghouse: Open for tours 12-4pm, *Donations welcome
Johnson House: Open for tours 10am-4pm, Admission fees may apply
Wyck: Open for tours 12-4pm, Admission fees may apply
