Awbury Arboretum

The Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service is the largest King Day event in the nation!  Awbury Arboretum joins Global Citizen, which promotes year-round volunteer service and civic engagement, in gathering volunteers for a special day of service.  This year we have two projects:

Volunteers will work together to lay woodchip trails in the newly restored Wingohocking watershed spring area and current wetlands location at the arboretum.
Meanwhile, our teen volunteers will learn and use woodworking skills to rebuild a tool shed in our Agricultural Village.

Hot soup lunch is included!

Johnson House, in partnership with the 6300 Block Business Alliance - is supporting  a school supplies drive to benefit Emlem, Roosevelt and Lingelbach schools.

Donations can be dropped of at 6353 Germantown Avenue from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

See calendar for specific event details.
